Salvage
So, after almost two months worth of doing Salvage averaging almost every single day, I finally completed my first piece. Not only that, but it is definitely one of the highlights of the set; not to mention the best TPing legs for THF in the entire game!
I gotta admit, finally getting a piece after all the work and luck that is Salvage is quite a satisfying experience, almost like anything in this game that takes a lot of time. The feeling you get when completing something like that is what keeps you coming back for more. I'll definitely keep going back to Salvage, and hopefully I'll see you here in less than two more months with my next completed piece!
On the non-Salvage front, I've gone from ToAU Tier 2 Assaults up to Tier 7 Assaults since I have been back. That has been a mostly awesome experience as well. I must say it; everyone complained about RotZ being the "core" of FFXI for so long, but ToAU completely blows RotZ out of the water.
I also have been leveling my COR up for the last week or so, from 41 to 57. I'm going to stop at 60 for now though; the MNK grind I did recently still hasn't worn off on me, and COR is incredibly expensive. I enjoy the job, and invites tend to come decently quick, so when I do feel like finishing it off it shouldn't be too bad.
So, in the meantime, I'm going to re-concentrate on meriting my THF. I need 10 points for 2 minute Feint (one of the hottest things in the game) and I need to finish off Triple Attack+, and then see where I feel like going from there. I think for T2 merits I'm going to go 1 Assassin's Charge, 4 Ambush, and 5 Feint.
