I think its time for my semi annual livejournal update.
Hmmm...
I've been getting my hustle on like crazy- sending out examples of my illustrations to illustrator agents, publishers, and alternative weeklies. So far, I've gotten a million "we'll keep your work on file" and a couple "we're going to use you in the next month or so", which is awesome. (I updated the illustration part of the website, although I'll be updating the whole thing in the next couple days- www.brothersmeyer.com )
It'll be nice to have some extra green coming my way.
Speaking of extra green, I'm teaching an Intro to Drawing class at SMCC starting in March. Its already full, so it won't get cancelled like the last one (plus, this one's at smcc, instead of way off campus, so getting there will be easy breezy.
I've been playing in a soccer league since november (we're the Sebago Brewing Cobras), which has been pretty awesome- although this season has seen some people taking it way too seriously...
I'm in a new studio in the state theatre building, which is working out pretty nice, I'm getting a bunch of work done.
Matt and I have been playing alot of music with our friend Adam, its kind of like bluegrass with a drum kit. I've been playing almost exclusively on upright bass, and Matt's on a huge banjo kick. We've played out once at Acoustic Coffee, although we snuck a bunch of Monkey Shine tunes in... We're calling ourselves Airboat and hopefully we'll be gigging alot this summer
