So- I got the sty that was in my left eyelid out on Wednesday. I think it goes without saying that it hurt like a mutha. But just in case it doesn't here's a virtual tour of sty removal brought to you through the magic of digital photography...
Just in case youo were wondering how I got it, Over the course of a few days over the summer, the waves were perfect and I spent a lot of time surfing. Every time I go under, I need to wipe my eyes clear. All that rubbing blocked on of the galnds that adds oil to your tears. It was like a had a bb implanted into my eyelid.
So anyway, Here's me being terrified. I've had this done before and its sucks SO bad...
The worst part is when they inject your eyelid with lidocaine. The needle hurts a little, but when they start pumping the juice in, the pain is pretty epic. Check out how swollen my eyelid is.
Then they clamped onto my eyelid, flipped it over and started sawing away.
Eyelids shouldn't have to endure this kind of treatment.
All done! Now for days of uncomfortable eyes and having to wear my glasses instead of contacts.
...what a bunch of crap (this is the part when I get to whine about how this kind of thing only happens to me, how my existence at this point should be easier than it is, etc.)
