Up-and-coming actress Scarlett Johansson has dismissed claims that she is bisexual, after a story linking her with another woman made it into the Hollywood rumor mill.
The star of "Lost in Translation" and "Girl With a Pearl Earring" was supposed to be seeing designer Tara Subkoff, but claims the relationship is nothing more than friendship.
Rumors began after the pair were apparently seen kissing in New York.
But Johansson, who is also reported to have had a fling with Benicio del Toro, laughed them off in an upcoming issue of W magazine.
"It would be very strange for our relationship," she told the magazine. "Tara is one of my best friends; it never happened."
However, she admitted to having fun with the rumors, now flirting with Subkoff and calling her "my petal" when they meet up.
Johansson, who was tipped for the top of the movie world after her performance in "Lost in Translation" earned her an Oscar nomination, also says she wants to do more love scenes in her career -- particularly before time runs out.
"You've got to flaunt it while you've got it -- before things start moving around," the 19-year-old told the magazine.
