the joys of december.
Room to room, top to bottom I have been going through my house doing major cleaning. I am the one who keeps this house in order and am always making sure the little things like dusting and vacuuming are done weekly. So the reason for all this major cleaning is because every Christmas eve for the past 20 years we throw a Christmas eve party n have friends of the family that aren't seen that often, neighbors, relatives, and good friends that you see weekly over for great food, music and entertainment. It's kinda like an open house because people just show up when ever or if they can't stay long drop by to bring a gift. You'd be surprised at how many people follow this tradition every year on christmas eve probably about 100 people show up give or take through out the night which usualy does'nt end till about 3:00 am with the last few neighbours staggering home. All and all it is probly what I look forward to every Christmas the most. I love cleaning n making everything look spotless and then I get to decorate, which is just the most rewarding feeling after the party is done. As for the food, there are staples that some people have been bringing with them for the past 20 years or whenever they joined in on this night and no one seems to come empty handed so there is always leftovers because thats a ton of food. So ho ho ho it's almost mid december and I have'nt started Christmas shopping yet I'll have to set some time and money aside for that and before we know it, well it will be 2006.
