Salene and Bray:Location Unknown Continued

Jan 02, 2004 03:22

(OOC:Continued from HERESalene licked her lips in anticipation, the thoughts of what they had to do to get out of here rushing through her mind. "We're going to have to make it sound the way they want it to, do you understand? We are not going to do anything really, but we have to make it 'sound' good, ok?" Salene hoped he knew what she meant, "I ( Read more... )

Salene felt the tears rolling down her face, trying to keep her composure, and she said nothing for a while, she didn't want to have her voice give her away. When she'd gotten a grip on her painful heart, she wiped at her nose and smiled, "Yes, I want to get out as well, out of this hole, but I think, what they said made sense, and we should join them. Even if you are Bray, at least we can carry on the line, we can make others believe that you are Zoot, and this organization can take off like it should," Salene frowned to herself, the bitter taste of lies and heartache in her mouth. "I'm glad you find me attractive Bray," she tried to make herself sound seductive, her mind shutting off and thinking of Pride, of being with Pride, of everything they'd ever shared, and Bray was no longer Bray but he even sounded like Pride, and she felt herself believing he was Pride.

"Kiss me, let's do this right and make love, give them the baby they crave. Once we're out of here and giving them their Divine Child, we can convince the MallRats that this is the right thing for everyone," Salene hugged her knees to her chest and rested her head against the wall behind her.

Bray wasn't sure what to do now... surely they didn't need to kiss, or pretend the sound wouldn't carry on. he couldn't say anything for the moment otherwise they would realise they weren't kissing. He just sat there, stunned within himself at what was happening.

Then it dawned on him, what if they were doing this for nothing, and no one heard, and it changed nothing.

He'd left it a while, "Come let's go to the bed," he said, as gently as he could, and loudly enough for it to be heard, if only this were helping.

Salene shivered and stood up, following him in the direction of the bed, "Yes, lets," she said, though this time it was unconvincing and she kicked herself for it. Salene stopped when her foot hit the bed, "Oh Bray, take me," she wasn't convincing, she was having a hard time with this, and before she knew it, she was moving away. "No...no I can't do this Bray! I can't give up on Pride! I love him! I can't make love to you, no matter how much I want to have a baby, or how much I want to," she gulped, the words forming a sickening lump in her stomach, "join the chosen, it's too painful to do that with you," she said, tears now really streaming down her face, hugging her arms to herself, her chin wobbling.

Bray stopped, was he going too far? Salene seemed really upset and it worried him... but if they stopped the act they'd lose their one opportunity. He tried to imagine what he'd do if her were serious, surely he would try to convince her.

"Listen Salene," he said trying to sound soothing, "Remember why we're doing this, we're doing it to get out. We're doing it so you can see Pride and Mouse again, and I can see Amber and my son," he stopped for a few moments. "Besides, it's not as if it's something you've never wanted. This is our chance, in the middle of the chaos that is our lives, and then we can go back to how things were," he really hoped he was being convincing, he felt bad for Salene, if she felt anything of what he was feeling over this.

Salene was feeling confused, this wasn't what they'd talked about, was it? Was she...had the communication broken down? Did Bray think they were having this conversation because they wanted their captors to know that they'd do anything to get out of here? Salene had thought they were having this conversation to convince them they wanted to join, not just to get away, for if they knew they just wanted to get away, they'd never take them out of this torture chamber. "Bray, I," she was feeling as if he meant something deeper, as if...oh god what was going on in her head? She squinted, though there was no light, her head was hurting now, and she didn't know what was real and what was their "fantasy". "We, I want out of here too, but at the cost of losing ourselves to the chosen again? I want a baby, and," she squinted again, trying to understand what was going on, trying to formulate the correct response, "I want to have a divine child?" That had sounded so unsure, unknowing, what...what the hell was going on here?

Salene turned, finding Bray behind her, and she sniffled, the tears flowing freely as she pressed herself to his chest, the warmth of his body comforting, and for a moment in time all was suspended and her mind drifted to Pride and she missed his touch, his caress, his kiss. Salene had her arms between them, her hands resting on their chests in balled up fists, her cheek against her fists, but she was pressed against him, "I just don't know anymore," she whispered, scared.

Bray was a bit hesistant, he had no idea what was going on when she suddenly pressed herself against him. What she he do, he hesitantly put his arms round her to comfort her, not sure what else he could do, or should do.

Should he continue the ruse... was this part of the act? What if it wasn't and he made things really bad... what if it was and he ruined everything. Do or die... but which option did what.

He decided getting out was their priority, he would have to try and fix things later if he was wrong. "We know what we have to do, they told us," he made a useless gesture. "What other options do we have?"

He let go of her, and backed away towards the bed, hoping she would get the message from his actions.

[OOC: Sorry if my gaming is going to be disjointed, I'm losing my computer, and with it my regular access to the internet. I'm going to have to resort to e-cafe's when I can afford them. I got email access at work, and have arranged with Salene to be able to keep gaming. Sorry everyone ]
