Day 2

Jan 19, 2006 11:55

Well, today is the second day of the cleanse. Obviously, we started yesterday, and I was very excited to try this. Today I am less excited, but still determined. :) It doesn't sound so bad to say you're eating raw vegetables and fruits in theory, in practice, it's a whole different story. I am so uncreative with vegetables that the only thing that pops into my head is salad and carrot sticks. Because of this, I ordered 2 uncook books. One of them arrived yesterday, and I'm waiting on the second one. I also borrowed 2 from my mom who happened to have some, thank goodness. So last night for dinner, instead of a salad, Ty and I ate green peppers halves filled with a mixture of avacado (smashed), grated carrot, chopped celery, and seasoned with a herb seasoning called Spike (no salt). It was actually pretty tasty, but not as tasty as a hamburger. :P However, I have not really been "hungry" in it's actual meaning, just craving so called normal foods.

Well, technically I started "dieting" before the cleanse about 2 weeks ago. I want to keep a log of my weight as I am certain it will go down with the cleanse. So about 2 weeks ago I weighted 185. At the start of the cleanse I weighted 183. This morning I weigh 180. I think that is pretty cool. I also got up late today, so my cleanse timing will be off, so I'm going to skip one of the meals because I essentially slept through it.

Cleansing is supposed to help you by cleaning out your digestive system. With a digestive system that is used to trying to handle all sorts of bad foods, it can not keep up and it causes all sorts of other problems in your body. So when you cleanse, many of these other symptoms should disappear or lessen. I hope that is what happens. I will update this part often, the cleanse that is.

Also, my phone is infact working again, and I will call you Kathy. :P Sorry I suck, I will try to suck less.
