There she goes..
I say this a lot-but I really do never update this thing. I feel like I don't have anything incredibly interesting to say, and I don't want to disappoint or bore anyone. Most of the time I'm on lj I'm just checking on my communities and such. But I'll give updating a shot.
First off, sports update! Soccer's finally done. I can't say I'm too crushed. Long season, bad record, and enough was getting to be enough. The girls are great =) but soccer isn't exactly my favorite sport to begin with. Basketball starts MONDAY! I'm pretty much stoked. Things are going to be tough but I think we've got it, and we're definately going to have fun. Hopefully we can step it up and bring home a 6th consecutive League title. Sadly only 2/3 of the Midnight Posse will be returning (looong story) but the remaining 2/3 will kill it for sure. I don't know man..there's just something about basketball. Sometimes it makes me feel like a complete loser, but those moments are worth it if it means I get a little, I don't know, glory along the way.
Life in general, I'm just maxin' and relaxin'. Pretty happy.. contented detachment, I guess you could say. I understand that it's not good to be too uninvolved or distant, but after being in the kitchen so to speak for so long it's good to just sit back and watch things happen.
Something that bothered me was the white phosporous issue. Iraq and white phosphorous, apparently. Something about a "shake and bake" method which involves heavy explosives followed by white phosphorous. I'm pretty conservative but I think we learned our lesson in Vietnam.
