So the past two months I was supposed to live in semi-seclusion studying hard for the darn CFA exam (which, went *horrible*, by the way), resisting such temptations as fandom, internet or basically anything at all entertaining- but turned out the ONLY sarcrifice I actually made was seeing GOF two weeks after the whole planet had seen it ^^;;; I've

:P Well, procasination is just what naturally happens to people like us. Although I'm getting worse and worse :( Luckily I don't have to study anymore!!!
Well to be honest, world peace won't happen until all killing on this planet stops. (includes killing of any creature, not just human).
I would know if I pass or fail in two months, they won't tell me exactly what score I got, though.
WHAT?! TWO MONTHS?! How long does it take to mark them?! I hate waiting for results!!! Good luck. I don't know, you seemed to be able to just manage to pass it...So fingers crossed.
Oh that record thing... I think it's something on what we've done at uni. You see, I've decided to stick around at uni like for as long as my working life. Easier. So, not a bad idea to build up some brownie points. But like I said, the main reason is... so I dun have to pay for the hiring. It's good to offer the service to help out at graduation anyway. They always need people. :-)
Good to have you back, btw.

You know, I've never considered you as in the same league as me, when it comes to procrastination. You've fallen, woman!
I hate waiting for results!!!
I imagine it's their exact intention to torture the candidates some more, the bastards!
I've decided to stick around at uni like for as long as my working life
I'll know where to find you even if we have a fall away that last for decades then :-P
Hey, it's good to be 'back', in a sense *g*

It's only logical that I do. Think about it, when I was at uni, I had no life. It's not that I didn't procasinate though. I just started the whole process a lot earlier than everyone else. So it seemed as if I got them all under-control. Like instead of starting the week before/ the day before, I started a few weeks or a month ahead.
Also, I thought grades were everything that could get you into a job; by understanding more in class, achieving better means you actually can do your job better.
Then I graduated from undergrad degrees, started working... found out everything is just yeah well... put it nicely, it's the embedded skills required to get through uni that is valuable. Not the actual content.
Then I studied part-time and also happened to have this workaholic tendency. Work comes before study. First year, I was not too bad but almost killed myself. 2nd year, motivation slipping and starting to have to take a day off to finish a major assignment (that one was just hard, took me longer than I expected)... 3rd year, I've already decided...no more study after this :P Although for my stats assignments, I did start early and keep on time for the major ones. Coz it was fun and the lecturer was so cute and so nice!!
For my final semester, I was as slack as I could possibly be. (well I think I was anyway). Although leaving things to the last minute isn't always good. I planned to write an essay a week before it's due, then the hubby was sick... had to get an extension. Meanwhile found out most of the class hasn't really done the assignment anyway, because the lecturer was away. She wouldn't have know when we've actually handed in!
So, I mean honestly, why care so much about something that doesn't really have that much effect?! BTW, in the end I got the same grade that I've got for 5/6 marketing PG courses :P After screwing up the exam, I was shocked!
:P
Hey, it's not easy to find a workplace where they pay 9 weeks full pay for parental leave (babies) on top of the 14 weeks sub that the govt provides (~$300 a week I think) + 5 weeks of holidays. You can work from home whenever you like (reasonably of course). You can work flexible hours, either show up at 10 or leave at 4 or missing in between for other things etc.
So I'm working in a nice place. Of course things won't stay the same all the time. We will see, hopefully it does for long enough... eventually I don't need to work. Then I don't really care whatever job I get as long as I'm only working part-time...but you never know, 5-10 years later, I might not want to work at all :P
Working is a waste of life.
(alright I should shut up and get back to drinking my coffee)
