Last pre-HBP entry
This fandom is divided into very distinguishable periods of time by each newly released HP book, so I thought I should say something to mark today down, as the last day of the post-OOTP/pre-HBP era :) It should be fun if one is to write A History of HP Fandom, noting the most infamous ship wars, popular theories and predictions, families or clans centering around characters or BNFs, and so on...
For me the post-OOTP days were certainly the bleakest time I have experienced in this fandom, oh the never-ending wanks, and the hundreds of hours I spent typing furiously of hate mails hate comments hate entries! But I don't regret them really, it's been fun in the most peculiar way. And in the end, no matter what you ship, who you love and who you bash relentlessly hoping they'll die from your vehement, we are in this together. I've never felt as close to any online group of friends and foes than at this moment :)
