Oh my, that is just precious. Kettle? You friend Mr Pot called. It thinks you're black.
There needs to be a new law against people trying to get out of Internet arguments they personnaly wore to death by invoquing News tragedies.
And it's really rich to hear someone who's so quick to toss around Hitler references in a sub-discussion, of a sub-category, of a sub-fiction (aah, now I'm doing it!) giving people solemn lectures on not getting too emotionnaly invested.

Oh my god!!! That's terrible!!! Quickly go cancel your HBP pre-order, swear on your life you'll never come to such lunatic online forum as FAP, where participants obviously care more about fictional romance than actual death, while cling on fantasy for their last drop of self-worth, and devote all your time and money to people in need!!! Go, NOW, we don't want to hold you up!!!
That lady wouldn't know irony if it bit her in the face, would she? (No, obviously not, because it already has.) You got to love it when fans of a book for children tell other fans for a book of children to "get a life".
I think the thing that amazes me so much is the depth of passion people feel for fictional characters.
Cause passionate hatred for fictional characters and a fictional ship makes so much more sense.
Realistically, I believe that people's passion in this lie in their own sense of self and feelings of self worth that they attach to their sense of fantasy.
Mmm, would you like to be my shrink?
I would hope that we would all care as passionately about important things in life, such as our relationships with friends and family, our communities, etc.
Oh, get down on your high horse, already! *eyeroll*
I never intend for anyone to feel belittled but after getting up yesterday and reading that a Canadian toddler was shot in the head in Cambodia by gangsters for being frightened and crying too much, the debate between H

She's a goner. Notice how none of us reacted to her post in anger, it was just unbelievably hilarious, someone should give her a trophy for bringing so much laughter to the world- really what have we ever done to deserve such kind gesture ;)
I love the Draco-hater's (*checks* - perceval?) argument that the Slytherins are evil for holding the DA captive in Umbridge's office while outnumbered and unarmed, whereas the Gryffindors attacking the unarmed and outnumbered Slytherins is their own fault for being 'stupid'. Clearly not one to let consistency get in the way of a good debate!
Do I look like a fool? I don't know and don't care either.
Hee. I think the answer to that one is fairly evident.
But I'm not the one shaking in rage over someone insulting my favourite fictional fiction romance.
Buh? Did someone post saying 'I'm shaking with rage over your insults!' or something? That's a rather large assumption to make by itself, isn't it? I mean, her replying *gasp* twice is just as much 'evidence' that she's taking the whole fictional discussion of fictional characters and their fictional romances (I've picked up the tic of saying fiction now!) too seriously. How could she spend the money for an internet bill that could have saved a starving child in Africa?!

Yeah, I was wondering about that too. You know, fighting over the Internet, and then guilt-tripping the other side for all the good deeds they supposedly could do if they didn't spend so much time in the fandom, is not going to stop any more toddlers from being hurt, you know. ;-)

Draco gets the smack down under any circumstance, now that's consistency for you, in fact you can't get any more consistent than that!
