*sees Liz enter, waits until she gets food, then waves her over*

Nice to see you outside of Sickbay. I was worried something had happened...

::sits down:: *sigh*

Yes a lot has happened lately. Dr. Linnis Paris gave birth to a beautiful daughter named Renara. The baby is growing so quickly too...

Michael Rostov, who works in engineering...well he and Stephen Tanner were recently in sickbay. They both needed treatment. I am prevented from saying exactly why due to patient confidentiality, but the two of them are likely going to be going to have a hard time dealing with what happened.

*notes to self: congratulate Dr. Paris.*

Oh man. *remembers Tanner from the rescue mission and his selfless act of courage*
I... I hope they're both okay. I'm... sorry they were in sickbay.
*doesn't really know what to say due to not knowing what's going on, but still concerned*

*smiles* They should be given time. I do know I will do what I can to help.

Assisting with the birth did cement one thing in my mind though, it made me know that I have what it takes to be a good nurse. I'm thinking that I may take the training, it will mean extra work for awhile, but I think it will be worth it.

*takes a bite of food*

*smiles* You think you'd still like me if I suddenly turned into a squid? That is so...sweet.

Well, it's better than sitting in my quarters and being bored until the next time we get attacked...

Sweet? *tries not to blush*

*sees a slight hint of red on his cheeks* Yes, sweet.

*smiles and flirts a little.* I'm glad we're becoming friends, you take my slightly odd sense of humor in stride instead of running for the nearest door.

Your other friends run for the nearest door?

Sorry, it seems as if the day's events have caught up to me. I hope you don't mind if I leave so soon. I think I need a bit of extra rest.

No you didn't. I enjoyed taking a break and finding you here was a bonus. I was glad to see a friendly face and I needed to relax a bit before heading home. *smiles*

It was nice to eat with a friend and see what you were up to.
