The government, in my opinion, has no place to tell people if their marriage is valid or not. This is church interfering with state, and is against the law. And, as I found studying the constitution with my homophobic teacher, "the persuit of happiness" only applies to those who do things "right". That, is complete and utter bullshit. If you're not hurting anyone, why should anyone else care? Is that marriage affecting your own? No. Or maybe it is, because your spouse realizes they're gay. But that's not the point. The point is, the goverment has no right to take their word back and say that the persuit of happiness does not apply to people who aren't "doing it right". This applies for gay marriages, polygamists, or whatever. If it makes you happy and everyone agrees to it who is involved, no one else should have a say in it, period.
