This week was gooood, first week of summer! I've been on break for awhile, but it's just not summer until you see random kids come into starbucks at like 11 and i ask myself "shouldnt those youngins be at school?" but then i am reminded "yay summer!" and i get all happy.
Ok, so last weekend i went up to the river with the hansens, nick, nik, joaquin and kevin and it was so much fun! sure i was the only girl besides mrs hansen, but its not that weird since that was usually the situation most of my school years. I kind of like being the only girl, I don't have to hear any gossip or drama or anything like that. I did, however, hear SOOO MANY "I'm fats" coming from all of the guys. i mean come on now! these are perfectly normal guys who arent fat! So yeah, that was a good time and a good way to celebrate graduating.
so i come home from the river on sunday and i break out EVERYWHERE. Now, i never break out so i was sort of panicking. I got bumps all over my arms and face and neck and legs. It turns out i have some kind of sun allergy or something. I didnt get sunburn, and it wasnt my sunscreen. so yeah, everywhere i was exposed to the sun i had bumps. except my back and stomach. So then i get really itchy and uncomfortable which wasnt fun.
Monday: I'm in TONS of itching discomfort from the afore mentioned "sun allergy" and so they let me stay home from work. It was a pain though, since i drove all the way up there only having to drive all the way back. oh well. Darren came over that night and we played call of duty 2, (im a madman at that game!) and went to major market to get some sandwiches from there since they are THE BEST. and darren wanted their mashed potatoes. so we got that too.
Tuesday: I worked from 6:45-1:15 i think. I go straight from work to the doctors office for the oh so fabulous vaccinations for the dorms. I just said "ill just get it over with and have them all." I didnt get the HPV one though since i wont be needing that. So i got the tetanus, hep A, meningitis and the chicken pox one. The nurse said ill probably get some chicken pox blisters in a couple weeks since the whole point of that shot is to get the chicken pox so youre mildly exposed and build immunity. I never had it when i was little, and i really dont want to get it when im this age or older. Then they wanted me to take another EKG since they said something was weird with my heart. Apparently im wasting lots of heart beats, so i have the option to go on beta blockers again. Im feeling no symptoms, and i hate that medication, so i REALLY dont want to since i feel that i dont need to. The only thing im concerned about is how it will affect me in the future. Anyways, then we headed off to the beach with ctk which was really fun.
Wednesday: I left at ten to go to cal lutheran with my mom and my grandma wanted to come too. I got all registered, im taking: Psych statistics, a psych statistics lab, psychological assessment, sensation and perception, and a class on martin luther. I think thats it, it was 16 units im pretty sure. So we met up with my aunt and then later stopped at la salsa for dinner. mmmm chicken and cheese quesidilla! so then I come home from cal lutheran, and im feeling sick. I find out later that night that darren is really sick. UH OH. This is a problem because i was with darren every day since the previous thursday. As most of you know, i have a fear of throwing up, so i was really panicking. I know that its mostly a mind thing though, so ive gotten really good at not throwing up, even if it means living with that nasty naseauted feeling a few extra days because i didnt want to throw up.
Thursday: went to work from 8:30-3:00 which wasnt so bad. I felt sick most of the day, but i hung in there. I couldnt go home because terrence's grandpa had just died, so he couldnt come to work, jenna has pink eye, so she cant come, ashley was throwing up so she couldnt come in, and erika was really sick but she ended up coming in because everyone else was sick. I dont remember what else i did that day. took home like 3 boxes of glazed donuts, chocolate donuts and apple fritters from work becuase we had to mark them out. woo! DONUTS! Or, if you prefer, "doughnuts."
Friday: work from 6:30-1. good shift. afterwards i came home and cleaned up around here and stuff and then headed off to darrens house. we watched some of the third season of scrubs and used his new bonfire pit thingy. it was pretty nice.
Today: went to the bank to deposit like 4 weeks worth of tips. and bought a new toothbrush. not at the bank, obviously. Im going to temecula with darren in a little bit to go get some stuff and then me, him, and his mom are going out to dinner.
So yeah, ive been good, i cant wait for college!
im working from mon-fri next week so that should get me some good money!
oh and i got a yearbook this year. its good to have your boyfriend as the senior yearbook editor, cuz then you get half off yearbooks even if you dont go to the school. Its all in color and its really classy. It was in the first place section among some other yearbooks at the del mar fair. YAY!
it really bothers me how much plastic we throw away and dont recycle at work, so i think im going to use a giant trashbag and put it in the back for all the empty syrup bottles and partner beverages and everything, then ill take it home with me and put it in our recycling can. I was also thinking about sending our markouts of a pound of coffee for a week to the troops. Some people never pick up their mark out, so its a pound of free coffee wasted, since youre only allowed one a week and if you miss it, you cant get it. I dont know though if the troops really want or are even thinking about coffee. Regardless, im going to see what i can do.
