Cleaning Ladies

Why do people (my mom) get cleaning ladies?  Especially if you have to clean up before they come to your house?  Isn't the whole point to have them clean the house for you?  So aren't you doing their job then?  Why are you paying someone to clean up things that have already been cleaned up?  I just don't understand I guess.
