Last month I sent in an entry for that International Kodansha manga competition I wrote about awhile back. I meant to post one or two preview pages on my website (I don't intend to show the entire comic online just yet), but as usual I haven't gotten to it yet. At the moment I'm busy with the next comic... I can't say anything about it right now, except that it's kind of morbid. I'll be glad when this month is over, since it's difficult to concentrate on much other things. :( I'm getting quite sick and tired of suffering all kinds of physical ailments each time when I must finish a comic before a deadline. Of course my unhealthy lifestyle of irregular sleeping habits ect ect are largely at fault... ugh.
I want to climb a mountain and breathe in the alpine air. I want to walk by the seaside and feel the hot sand on my soles. I want to lurk in the forest and watch legions of ants rearrange dead pine needles. I also want to paddle a banca around the archipelago.
Right now I'm enjoying the current anime from studio Gainax, 'Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann'. It is fun and I call it 'Gundam meets One Piece', though that's probably a bad description. I couldn't resist drawing fanart.

The Dynasty Warriors fanart I wanted to draw since awhile. Zhuge Liang and his wife Yue Ying relaxing. The kid in the back is his student, Jiang Wei. That brown box thing at the right is a wooden oxen, which is used to transport food supplies to the front lines in battle.
I drew it in Photoshop, but tried to make it look like an oekaki.
