I'm still around, I'm just confining myself to my desk to complete a comic for a fairy tale anthology (bissi Info hier) and doing nothing much else - I hadn't left the house for a week, and I felt fine until my lungs felt they were about to implode and my legs felt like millions of ants were crawling over them, so I finally went out and went for a walk. On the following day I went to see Swan Lake with Monica and Nietsche, which was good. somehow my health always seems to suffer in some way when I'm seriously drawing

I'm not working at that coffee place anymore - it really wasn't my thing. While it was quite awesome to get paid for something you're doing for a change, it was... well my mind said yes but my heart said no. Figures that I really am not very interested in beverages. At least now I know the exact difference between a cappuchino and a melange (<= special type of Vienna coffee).

My trip to Tokyo is in about a week! I'm getting more and more excited about it, especially since it's for certain that I may visit Shogakukan (publishing house of Urasawa). I've been all kinds of emotional about this fact already, I really can't describe it.

Speaking of Urasawa: the last chapter of 20thCB has apparently been published (the whole thing amuses me, really), Happy! receives a live action adaption, 20thCB is nominated for Germany's most important comic prize (it shouldn't be up against Tezuka's Adolf though), and each Pluto volume makes no. 1 in the charts (because the Japanese love Tezuka).... wow! Urasawa really is getting huge these days. He's something like the CLAMP or Akira Toriyama of the seinen fraction.

I also caught up on Fruits Basket and wanted to write a post about how this horrid manga has the power to make me wail and cry, and not just about one thing. This manga is probably responsible for me drawing my current fairy tale story a bit more shoujo than usual.
