The Hunted - A Ronon Dex Mix
This is my first fanmix (errr, one I've actually finished anyway), a Ronon mix admittedly inspired by the Bruckheimer-esque action-fest of "Sateda". Allbeit, the mix itself seems to lean a bit more towards the emo of Ronon's character, as opposed to the action.
I'd also commend all the fanmix makers out there. I found this surprisingly difficult. Coming up with lyrics-appropriate songs and something with some diversity. Not just fill it all with Tool, A Perfect Circle, NIN, etc etc. Although I'm not sure why I resisted the rock necessarily ::makes devil sign::. It wasn't and isn't so much the action about "Sateda" or Ronon that does me in. It's the tragedy My homeworld was completely destroyed / I was tortured by the Wraith for seven years / my girlfriend/wife got napalmed in front of me of the ep/his character... and he's hot. A more action-exclusive mix, for me, would probably lean towards the Tool, NIN, etc. Maybe I'll make another mix in the not-too-distant future exclusively of the Headbanger's Ball variety. Heee

4. "Cuts Marked In The March of Men" - Coheed and Cambria
[ "There's not going to be any need for hospitals, Melena! That's just a bunch of words meant to make the people who don't get to leave think there's a chance for them." ]
Scattered amongst the killing streets the children slate defense
is God's work to have us fail?
Rivered blood streams out the dead as bodies foul the air
I'll make peace when this is done.

All the stories have been told

But there's no England now.

I see the world falling in a rhythm
I feel the wind bearing it's decision to never give in
I'm afraid
I hear the words from some kind of silence
when the world falls into violence
they'll never give in

You feel like one in the headlights
tearing you up
and now the outline looks so strange
beneath the wreckage in this cage.

[ "I'll do whatever I have to to make up for what happened, but don't punish them for my mistake ... they're good people." ]
There's a blue light upon the ocean floor
So I've been diving down to be made pure
To be reborn
