foot quickie
oh man was it nice to drive today! i forget how much i love driving this car! i was running late for my appointment and i was 2 blocks away from my doctor's when i rolled through a stop sign and got pulled over. WHOOPS. i cut an unmarked cop off in the intersection. double WHOOPS. thankfully he let me go on a verbal warning. it's good being a gemme, especially in worcester ;)
my podiatric said that my foot is healing textbook perfect! said he wished he saw more people heal the way i am :D having the stitches taken out was a bizarre feeling but definitely not painful. i have fresh steri-strips on that i can take off by this weekend if they don't fall of themselves. my wound looks slightly open in spots but i am going to chalk that up to having the stitches taken out. still a bit swollen and my big toe and his two neighbors are still rather purple but wow. i am really excited about how well i am healing. i am sore from driving today but that's what left over percs are for. heh.
so, i just need to keep on top of my exercises at home and i can go back to exercising again as early as next week. i go back july 6th and we'll see how the movement in my foot is and he'll decided then if i will need physical therapy. i also got to see where they cut my toe bone in half and where the screw is on x-ray. it's all very interesting to me!
going back to work on thursday and then a flipping sweet ass weekend ahead. WORD UP! i could not be happier kids!
