At my job, a bar that is, I work three times a week. On Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Throughout my first month, I have noticed a distinct pattern on what it is that people come around looking for on each day, other than intoxication that is.

Wednesdays, is a day of lust and carnal pleasure. The air is thick with cigarette smoke and sexual tension. Men and women barhop, and buy everyones drinks other than their own, which naturally someone else purchases in their favor. Top items sold are wings, and any beverage consisting of vodka. The top carryout item is the accompanyment of the opposite sex.

On a Friday night you will see many a family dining together, a warming sight. However you then realize that the parents are downing seven and seven's at an alarming rate, within 15 minutes of taking their precious children home, is rather disturbing. Friday nights are the ideal times to take your boss out, show him a nice place with fancy food, then get him drunk enough to discuss that promotion. Power to you. Top items sold are 10 oz steaks, and the house white wine, s'il vous plait. Carryout consists of children too scared to climb into the vehicle.

Sunday afternoon shift is a time of manly bonding, golf observing, and many a pitcher of beer. When my boss informed me that the "woodlands drunks" were coming in, i assumed it to be a term of endearment. However, that is really what they call themselves. Ex: "Miss, please get me a pitcher of Bud Select, and put it on the WD tab." Yessir. Top orders are beer, and oddly enough, trail mix and popcorn. Lots of trail mix and popcorn. Carryout- a hangover.
