A little bit discombobulated.

Saturday

I slept in until 10 o' clock, woke up to an enormously clear blue sky outside of my window. It was so bright, it literally made me audibly say,"wow."
Took a shower, got dressed, talked to Britney for a little while about boys and junior high and elementary school..Then went to PV Mall for several hours before heading to work at 6:30.
Work was non-stop the whole night, and I have to confess I really enjoy being on bar, and when I'm not..I get a little stressed out. She was doing an all right job with the bar drinks, I was doing all her cold beverages, which was you know, about three quarters of the entire line almost the entire rush period. But I got frustrated! Yargh. I want things to go fast fast fast and get things done neatly and keep to a system..and that..just wasn't her style apparently. Which was ok, I mean, it was a lesson in patience right? But then again, we are supposed to have the drink on the bar from the time it was ordered in three minutes. So..yeah. Starbucks venting over.
I'm going to pursue becoming a shift supervisor. Not a whole lot more money, but the bottom line is, it's more money, and it'll look better on a resume.
My back really hurts still. Kinda sucks. It kinda burns right now. Actually, really burns. Freakin..work. Bah.
I picked up another shift tomorrow so my tips should be better this week.

I'm really enjoying living on my own. I love setting up my own place. I love going into Crate and Barrel and just spend my sweet time there inspecting the kitchen utensils and throw rugs and reading lamps..All of it is suddenly so very appealing.
I love going to the grocery store. I love waking up in the morning, getting dressed, and driving to the nearest Wi-fi friendly cafe and just sit and read my book on the sofa. I love being alone, and getting out into the sunshine. I love discovering new little shops and restaurants. There's a couple really cool coffee shops right where I live, both with free Wi-fi. Coffee & Used Books, and Anna Beans Coffee and Gelato. I can't decide which one I like better. They're both so unique and hardly anyone seems to know about it.

I might transfer to the 32nd and Bell Starbucks just because it's literally right around the corner from my house now, but I really don't want to go back to drive through. It would probably save me a ton on gas, I could literally walk to work. Meh. I don't know. Maybe I'll ditch Starbucks and go work at Anna Beans. They have manual espresso machines which I think are so much cooler than our automatic fancy schmancy espresso machines. I don't know..I just don't think I can call myself a legitimate barista until I work a manual espresso machine.

Well. I'm tired and I want to go to sleep.

Goodnight livejournal. Thanks for being so convenient.
