I just ran for half an hour and I'm still on a high from this afternoon..

Today has been the first Saturday in a very long time, where I haven't had to get up early to go to work or rehearsal.

I slept in til 9, Derek called, talked to him for about a minute, then realized I was still ridiculously tired, so I went back to sleep until 10.

Get a text from Adam.

"Wanna have lunch today?"
"Surely. When?"
"12:30.."
"Sounds good. See you then."

He comes over around 11:45 to upload some music onto his iPod from my iTunes, and we chill and hang out for about an hour, play some music on piano, watch some weird al videos on youtube...

Ok, so I have been so cold lately and I haven't been able to get warm. I went to church with Adam last night, I was freezing the whole time, then a whole group of us went back to their house, still freezing cold. Driving home, I was cold, went to bed, still cold, even though I had two blankets.. Woke up this morning, STILL cold. It was ridiculous. I'm not very cold anymore, but that's because I just worked out for an hour..but anyways. Tangent over.

We were going to a restaurant; but knowing him, he wasn't going to tell me which one. So we drive to downtown Phoenix..The streets are so torn up but seriously, I don't care what anyone else says, that lightrail is going to be freakin awesome.
It took him a while to find the place, he had to call his roommate to get the directions off the computer, but we finally ended up at a really cute french bistro called Sophies. But...it was closed. They only serve dinner on Saturdays, starting at 5 pm.

Lucky for us, we both love a good adventure.
So we drive around some more..looking for a good place to eat....I really felt like a tourist because I was taking all these pictures with my phone of cool buildings and stuff..but seriously, downtown phoenix is so pretty! It's ridiculous, I've lived here for over a decade and I've never really explored downtown phoenix..
Ended up at another bistro, sat outside, I was cold of course so I got some hot soup..

Look up. The Orpheum is right there. As well as my future place of residence should I decide to stay in the state someday..The Orpheum Lofts.

To phrase it mildly, we were both thoroughly excited and we decided that one day, we both want to live down there.

I kinda envisioned this whole fantasy in my head...I would have a place in the Orpheum Lofts on 1st and Adams, I'd be in shows at the Orpheum so whenever I left my building the doorman would hold open the door and say,"Have a good show, Miss Heald." And of course I'd be on first name basis with the security guards. So I'd walk across the street to the Orpheum, enter through the street entrance to the stage door; after the show, my friends and I would walk  down the way to the same bistro Adam and I had lunch at, and then maybe we'd go hear some live music or just walk around downtown...

Because the streets were all torn up, there were a bunch of signs everywhere that said "Sidewalk Closed." Now, I ask you, HOW can a sidewalk be closed? We promptly proceeded to play the game of Over, Under, Through, and walked in a straight line on the forbidden sidewalks, climbing over, under, or through any obstacles that came in our way.

It was an awesome afternoon.

Sigh.

If there were was really heavy traffic and a million yellow cabs, I'd have felt like I was in New York.

Adam and I outside the Orpheum..

Yes..

Mmm...more of the Orpheum..

Future place of residence

I took this through the glass door because it was locked..but this is the entryway into the lofts.

When we were leaving, Adam held open the door for me and said,"Have a good night, Miss Heald."

Oh happiness.

Life..it's a trip.
