Well I got home earlier today from New Orleans. We had the Flag Football National Championship tournament since Saturday. We didn't have a quarterback so we had to kind of nickel and dime our way through the games. We had to play the #4 team in the nation first, bad loss. But we won the second game in overtime in freezing, pouring down rain and wind. Soggy field....we held them on 4th and goal from the 1 yd line. I love defensive stands.
It's great to make it to the final 32 left. A lot of the schools out here represent their university or region or state, etc. So making the final 32 is out of a ton of teams in the nation. Some people left and we only had 8 left today. 7 on the field per team. So we had one sub. We go up 7-0, then 13-7, but lost 20-13 :( I wanted to make the sweet 16 so bad. 16 teams left in the nation..man..ball just didn't bounce our way. I'm going back next year...I'll do whatever it takes. Other than coming home, etc. That was today. It's on my mind a lot, I wanted to win so bad. ......
