Little girls grow up

Last weekend J had her first real sleep over at grandma (bf's mother). Of course we have often stayed at my parents, but then the bf and I were there as well. She never did it on her own before, because there was no reason to let her sleep somewhere on her own and she wouldn't have enjoyed it anyways. Now the request to sleep at grandma's was her own. She wanted it, so we facilitated that. And it went great. She actually slept through the night and had a fun day with grandma.

Today I rushed to school to pick her up (I'm usually busy and then have to rush to get her, but I'm always on time). I came back home without a child though. She wanted to play with this girl K. She even asked K's dad herself. She was totally okay with going there on her own. Hopefully this will be a more equal relationship than with boy R (she still calls him her friend and she tells me they occasionally play at school, but I don't get any requests for after school playing anymore).

She can't play too long though. She will have her second Taekwando class later this afternoon.

Only one more month and she will turn 4 and she can go to school 5 days a week.

Little girls grow up. And I seem to be getting a different role: the person who gets her everywhere.
