I still should make a post about yesterday. But lately I hardly feel like updating. I'm tired a lot again (ever since I changed my dose of meds) and in bed early (and then tossing around because I don't seem able to sleep yet). And I just enjoy doing crochet too much at the moment (I'm working on this book with all different squares in there).
Anyways. On Saturday was the Gothic and Fantasy fair. I at first didn't feel like going (I have this a lot lately and I really have to kick my ass to go to places, because I'd rather sit at home than being around waaaaaaay too many people and spending money). But I went anyways and found the place alright.
When I got there, there was a line of about 10 minutes before you could get in the building (and there a line for the tickets). But as I had already spent 2 euros on the train I just stood in the line anyways and got my ticket. There were 2 other markets there as well: CD & DVD market and a comic book market. And with my ticket I could go to those as well. Yay! And so I did. The CD thingy was boring. The comic book thingy was good :) Lots of comic books. YAY! and other goodies. I couldn't find any Candy Candy comics *grrrrrr*, but quite a lot Elfquests. But I restrained myself and only bought 2 (the 2 cheapest I could find).
There were also some actors attending the comic book market. So you could get an autograph and a picture. There was only actor I could actually recognize and that was Kiran Shah. Nobody seemed very interested in them and I didn't dare going up there (what the hell would I have to say?).
Then I had some lunch (poffertjes :D). Apparently I made the "poffertjes"-guys day for being so cheerful (me? Cheerful? I was just being me ordering something... ah well, if it made him happy).
And to the gothic and fantasy fair. When I came in I could already hear Omnia play. But I first went past all the things people were selling (I knew Omnia would play again later that day again). And I soooo love some of the dresses, jackets, skirts and corsets they sell there. If I ever get married I will want such a dress. But as we're buying a house I didn't buy anything (apart from a Nightmare Before Christmas top for 5 euros).
There were all kinds of shows. I watched a fashion show with lolita dresses, a show with fight scenes and sword-fighting scenes (and some doubtful acting) and a magic show with disappearing people and stuff (a shame I actually could see how two of the acts were done). That last show was kinda a bit hot (with all the tying up and stuff *whistles innocently*). They (man, and 2 women) were kinda flirty with each other. The women even kissed and this small kid next me was like "eeeeew!".
Then there was another set of Omnia. I liked this band. I hadn't heard stuff from them before but it's very good. You can download some of their songs on their website (
http://www.omnia-neocelt.com/ Go check it out!). I like the songs live better. They were very nice on stage and I would actually consider going to see them again some time.
After that I headed back to the train station and was home at about 17:00 being totally tired. So yeah, it was a good day after all. But still a bit weird going all alone (especially when you see so many people having fun together). I guess I would have stayed longer if I was with other people. But hey, I know had front row views for the shows (apart from Omnia) because I needn't care about anybody else wanting to or not.
Spent some time doing crochet today and so the weekend is over again. This week the children have holidays from school and that means they can come to us all day (if the parents aren't at home or just don't want their kids around when they do are at home). So I have to work long days this week. Let's see how that goes with me being more tired lately. So I guess I'd better go to bed now. Good night all and sweet dreams!
EDIT: YAY! for Firefox 2 with a spell check (saves a lot of typos. Seriously,I should do more backward reading).
