Puerto Rico in a week

Tonight I've been looking up information on Puerto Rico and reading other travelers' blogs about their experience in Puerto Rico. This won't be my first time in PR but the last time I was on that lovely island was when I was around 8 or 9 years of age. As some you might know I am half Puerto Rican. My father was born and raised in PR then in his early twenties moved to the States. I'm proud of my Puerto Rican heritage...I mean come on we have great food, great music, great beaches, and unique miniature frogs called coquis.

I'm really exciting about doing outdoorsy stuff. I've been looking up information on kayaking, canyoning, hiking through the only tropical rainforest in the US Forest Service, El Yunque, caving, and going on kayak tours through the bioluminescent Lagoon in Fajardo. I doubt that I will do all these things on this trip but I know that I will go back and do them eventually. One of my plans is to retire in PR...so I have time to do stuff there. LOL I've also been considering taking a spring trip to Croatia and Slovenia for a couple of weeks. I mainly want to do Croatia for the views, the beaches, and the plethora of hot guys =P and I want to do Slovenia for their cheap, yet thrilling adventure sports. I realize that I do have to start getting in shape for a lot of these...or should I say just attaining normal stamina because I must be in the negatives when it comes to being in shape.

This trip to PR will be a family trip and I hope things go smoothly. My parents are the type to argue over silly things and I am not looking forward to their annoying bickering and fighting. If it gets to the point where I can't stand it my plan will be to escape with my brother for a while until my parents cool off.

PR- here we come!!!
