This is my cue

There's too much planning for the coming revolution, methinks. Too much "This will be done through these actions which will immediately bring about these products and bring the power to its knees and into our hands". And all for what? Does anyone actually believe that a revolution can be caused in this country in this day and age? It's too late methinks. There's too many people out there who don't give a shit about anything as long as they get their food and air conditioning and spirits so they can momentarily erase their rat pack 8-hour existence before waking up in the morning. And it's too late for intellectualism on the matter. It's warming to hear and gives you hope, but debates and arguments are not what will spark the revolution. Society as made us too pretty for direct action. Most would rather label themselves as activists than actually become active. They make the revolution sound like it's a strategy to winning a board game. I found myself totally unimpressed by the speakers at the show in Tompkin Sq. Park today, just not into it at all. Maybe because I can't help but call bullshit. Not to say that I don't believe these people are not taking action, by putting themselves up there they are active and passionate and show leadership. But they run in circles. They go to benefit and demonstration after benefit and demonstration to pour their hearts out, just so that close to every punk there goes home and forgets about it.
If the revolution happens, I'll blink and miss it.
