the pirates' bazaar

Dec 13, 2008 22:20

We were at a nice children's birthday party today. The coolest game the hosts had the children play revolved around the party-take-home favors. Given that the party had a princess and pirates' theme, the hosts simply scattered fake gold coins through-out their yard. The children all went coin-collecting with their little paper bags. Then the bazaar opened, a place where one could trade the coins found for goodies such as plastic swords and magic wands, toy cameras and Disney princess stickers. Everything was one gold coin, rather cleverly so, I thought.
