That guy came to our school and did the whole assembly thing about his life...drinking and drugs and whatnot. he actually made me cry about something he said. when you really think about it, i can relate to a few things he said and its just horrable to think of what could happen to all thoes people you used to hang out with. Or even of what could become of you. you know, i always thought that nothingcould ever happen to me. pffhhh, everything only happens to other people. well, when something does happen in your life, or in someone you knows' life, it starts to make you think. things like that really make you think twice on your decisions. did you see how many people raised their hand when he asked who smokes pot? it was almost everyother kid, literally. I know thats not like, one of the wose drugs, bu its not like other kids arnt tripped up on acid, or on coke. I'v never smoked before, and i guess thats why i kind of get sad about it. cause a lot of people do, and it effects them. This person cant go a day without it. yes, he has his problems and he could take some from the government that make him all funny, but to depend on it like that is kinda scary. knowing you cant live without it one single day of your life.its just way too controling. i cant even handel a controling boyfriend rather then have a substance control me. and yes, i have drank, a lot. and yes, i used to drink almost everynight . and no, i wouldnt take back one single moment , good or bad. I made a promise to someone because I felt that he had a good reason. he finally opened up to me a little and told me apart of himself, so the least i can do is promise him one little thing, right? well, its not as easy as you think. im not addicted, i can certianly live without it..but its the feeling that makes you want to do it again. its the people that you meet, and the way you get along with other people that make you want to. but then i relize, well, thats not really who i am. so who am i? i couldnt tell you then,cause i was trying to find myself in other people. but if you ask me today, i can tell you who i want to be with, which friends i wanna hang around with, whos always there for me and who really sees me for me, who thinks they know me, who really knows i feel and why i make the decisions that i do. i learned a lot at a young age. i always say hey, thats a good thing so when im in collage, i'll already know what its like and i can fouces on my work. the fact is, you never know whats going to happen to you. you never know who you'll give in to, you have to be strong. you have to know what you believe in and stick by it. you have to fight for it, dont let anyone take that pride in your belief. cause i know for damned sure, i wont.
