So, i just got back from the funeral... it was so sad... knowing it was Kayla laying in that coffin. It still didn't seem real to me...

my mom told me to wear a skirt today... even though it was snowing i decided to... so i almost got frostbite on my feet from my shoes and now they're all red and hurt. gooome.

Friday, i stayed home from school. I just... didn't feel like going, i was still sick, exhausted and the whole Kayla thing just... i dunno, sucks man. So Amanda ended up coming to get me, she was with Lauren. We drove around and got things done then went to the Kerrins. Stayed there for a while and then my mom wanted me home for a little while. So eventually i went over Shane's. Then la la la... we all hung out and then i came home. Saturday... i slept most of the day, worked and then went over Shane's. Dan brought me home. Yesterday was the wake... it's so amazing how many people's lives Kayla has touched... there were so many people there yesterday and today... there were even cops everywhere blocking off roads or directing traffic. So, i went to the wake yesterday... met up with people and stayed a while. I left with Anthony and his brother... we picked up his g/f, hung out, then dropped her off. Headed back to the Kerrins and then he brought me home around 10/10:30. Then today was the funeral... *sigh* She was such an awesome girl... beautiful... talented... smart... outgoing... funny... etc. Everytime i was around her she'd always have a smile and make people laugh. It kinda makes me think... just everyone you know is going to die someday but you don't know when, and it's kinda scarey. Every time an ambulance goes by... someone you know could be in it. Yeah, it does suck that she died... but she's at peace now and she'll be smiling whereever she is... if there truly is a heaven, she's up there watching down on us. I guess "God" just needed an angel. I still can't believe how many lives Kayla has touched. She'll always be remembered and always in our hearts. We love you Kayla. :)

My mom asked me the other day... 'are you still going to ride?' i was thinking and yeah, i'm still going to ride. i mean, my mom's been around horses all her lives and she brought horseback riding into my life and my sisters. i've broken a few bones, gotten kicked in the face, stitches, etc. from being around horses and such, but it's accidents. They arn't meant to happen and you can't really prevent them. I'm going to be nervous while riding but i know i can't just STOP riding. Instead of getting a car for me 16th birthday, i got a $5,000 horse. so... i can't neglect that whole thing. I dunno, it's gonna be weird and stuff.

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.

Here's a few pictures from the last time i saw her... *shrug* disregard me... because we don't look at that.
