Sunnydale...oh, how I loathe this town.
However, I need to check up on George every now and again, make sure he's not embezzling every penny out of that bloody little shop. The thing's barely staying afloat, but it still serves its purpose...makes it much easier to explain the money I make from less estimable activities.
The plane landed yesterday evening and I rented a room in one of the sleazy little establishments that are about the only thing available 'round here. Oh, if only it were a tourist trap, there'd at least be a Holiday Inn with one of those chain restaurants attached. I'm frankly surprised no one has thought to try and make money off the Hellmouth, given the crap that passes for entertainment in this country. As it is, I had to hike several blocks to the nearest bar. But, since it's Sunnydale, there's always something curious to see, and it's always useful to keep abreast of the latest in the demonic world, you learn such interesting things.
Willy's Place has upgraded since the last time I was in town, the place almost looks posh.
I heard whispers of
a vampire who thought to bring about an apocalypse, one of those droll hoaxes that goes around every few decades. Still, I'm rather sorry to have missed that little drama--sounds as though he had
the slayer quite on the ropes for a bit. Kidnapped
the sister and everything.
Wonder if the girl's still working at the shop? I'll find out, soon enough. I adore how she glares every time I happen in, as though energy could come shooting out of her eyes and set me on fire. Just like her sister. Unfortunately, some rather annoying delays made me miss the slayer's birthday by a good week. No matter, I think the package I have to deliver will be just as...er, explosive, even if it is a tad late in coming.
*Smiles.* I can't wait to see
Ripper's reaction to this one.
