All of the information I've managed to locate on the Axis of Pythia (and believe me, I had to track down some rather unsavory former clients to find anything at all) suggests that it only works across dimensions, and not through time within a single dimension. Not that this is conclusive; it's a pity Ripper didn't divulge more of what he knew about it when we stole it that time. Always so stingy with the research. In any case, it seems to have gone missing again, and tracking it down seems to be a waste of time.
Oddly, neither wolf-boy nor his lovely slayer friend have come to bother me about finding their lost cohorts again. Just as well, my resources are drying up rapidly. I could go speak to a certain law firm in L.A.; I'm certain they'd have some knowledge on the matter. But I'm told they sometimes require a rather high price--let one of the merry band of do-gooders try that.
I did come across a small item in my search, a mystical formula purported to have certain time-bending properties. It's been quite a task to decipher it, as what I thought at first was ancient Sumerian turned out to be a demonic variation, and I'm still not certain I have the syntax completely right. That and the glottal stops involved will make it a bloody tricky thing to pull off; human vocal chords are just not meant to reproduce some sounds. But I'm going to go ahead and try it. It'd be quite a coup if I could find them while Buffy's friends are spinning their wheels.
Since they already know where, or when, Miss Summers and her party are, I'm going to use Ripper as the focus. I'd rather not break into his apartment for a personal item just now--he's going to be brassed off enough as it is, assuming we can get him back. So his car will have to do, apt enough for a spell regarding travel. I only hope that it doesn't have one of those blasted alarms to go off on me.
