It's hard to believe that I'm already one month into school. I first believed that the next two years of undergrad would take forever, but I guess it's true what they say...when you get older, time really flies by. I'm taking some pretty interesting classes this time. My Lean Manufacturing class basically spills how the Toyota Production System overran the typical mass production systems in automobile manufacturing (i.e. General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, and other Western auto companies). My electrical circuits class is pretty involved. My professor is pretty goofy, but grades harshly. I'm also taking a Materials Engineering course taught by a very bouncy Asian man. One day, he was trying to compare ionic bonds to relationships...you want to be close, but not too close because repulsive forces will drive you away from your significant other. I asked a question about a homework problem and he seemed way too happy; and after giving me guidance, he told me "So fah, you smahtest student in my Materiars Engineewing clahss, Andwew Deeron". Funny guy that Asain.

It's been awesome having Jenna half a mile down the road rather than over 500 miles away. She's awesome. Now that football is into swing, I know I must be annoying at times to her to want to focus on whats going on with the Crimson Tide, but she seems to enjoy football at least a little bit. I hope she has enjoyed her time here so far, I know I have. I really do enjoy my time with her.

Football is under way, and I am pretty pumped about Bama. I don't think Nick Saban deserves $4 million a year, but his changes seemed to have worked so far. The Arkansas game that Jenna and I watched last night was really intense. Bama scored to win with only 8 seconds left in the game for a final score of 41-38. Arkansas has an awesome running back in Darren Mcfadden. I think he rushed for over 200 yards, and I'm pretty sure if the Arkansas coach didn't take him out, Arkansas would have won the game (the coach took him out because Mcfadden was having hamstring cramps and the coach didn't want to seriously injure him).

But so far, things are going to be good. My dad's birthday was two weeks ago...he would have been 60.
