jon is pleased with my ambitions while my parents are-well, a little less pleased, but supportive nonetheless. he tells me about the woman he plans to meet from the internet and then makes this analogy: "people are like onions. they have layers-and you might think you know someone but you don't until you peel the layers away." in my head i am screaming "SHREK! THAT'S FROM SHREK! YOU STOLE THAT FROM A CHILDRENS' MOVIE YOU HOPELESS FUCK" but i smile, nod, and say "that's very clever, jonny."
