had a cool day! must tell someone!
So I actually had a rather good day yesterday!
I had my audition for point park, so I had to drive into pittsburgh BY MYSELF (I know, super scary) but I didn't have much trouble getting there except having to pay an unbelievable $15 for parking...but I didn't get lost on the way there, so that was good.
Then we had registration, then we waited around for a looooong time, then I finally got to audition. I sang "adelaide's lament" from guys and dolls (without the character voice) and made them laugh, so that was good-then they asked if I had anything a bit more soprano, so I sang "the green dog" and when I got to a g, they stopped me and told me that's what they needed to hear. then I did the monolouge, it went well, i think.
Then...and this is the best part of the WHOLE day...I went into the dance audition and the instructor was telling us about how some people could go into jazz two and skip ballet one, two and jazz one if they were good enough. then she taught us the combination, we did it, then we were doing it in small groups and she was like, "Number 11, do a triple." so I did, then she told me to do a switch leap, so I did and she said, "Megan is an example of someone who could go straight into jazz two"
!!!!
Then I got lost in Pittsburgh, going out. in the dark. in the rain. not fun at all, but somehow I found my way out. eventually.
Then another GREAT thing; my nanny called and said a talent agency i had sent my headshot and resume into called and were interested in an interview with me, so I have to call monday morning and schedule it!
AND as if that wasn't enough, later on that night I went to matt's and he gave me a present - two great big hershey bars wrapped all in newspaper and ribbons. just because ^.^
*sigh*
days like this make me a happy megan.
