(no subject)
Hello again.
Karijo and I sang at the talent show last night and won for best freshmen. I didn't think we did very well, though...well, she did...it's complicated. see, we were close to last, and the guys who won did a hip-hop dance and everyone was really excited, then karijo and I, two little white girls got up and sang a song from a musical. We just kinda didn't fit in with the rest of them. But oh well, our harmonies are always good. Sally did a good job, as did Chris Watson on his xylophone, (who won third) and this guy qho won second played a guitar who wasn't so good---he played 3 songs and, according to karijo, got a lot of notes wrong. I'm glad she knows more about music than I do. I thought he was doing well because I like that kind of music, but she can like it and at the same time listen for wrong notes. This guy got up and did heavy metal, and I thought he was doing really bad, and karijo told me that it was good. I made a face, and she said just because it doesn't appeal to me doesn't mean he wasn't good. fair point.
But Dan and I had a good day. He came to spend the day, and we hiked up by the waterfall and skipped rocks, then went grocery shopping for smoothie stuff, then came back and made smoothies. strawberry-banana. yummmm. Then he came and watched the talent show and sat through my play practice, poor thing.
My roommate's been gone for a few days. I haven't seen her since thursday night. I'm still kinda worried. I spoke to her friend and she told me that britt went to nort carolina with some of her sorority sisters for the weekend, but she was suposed tobe back yesterday. I'll wait until tonight, and if she's not back, I'm telling the RA.
It's been sorta nice having the room to myself, though.
know what I'm NOT looking forward to? moving out. It's strange that in one year, I've moved three times, soon to be four, then to another room after that. I'm going to miss Bethany.
