My life in eight pages
Trying to get into the stupid social work program here is impossible...or so it seems. The stupid application and all the references and ALL THE QUESTIONS!
1. Tell your life story in a maximum of eight pages. Include in your stroy three peopel who have had the most impact on your development as a person, adn the meanner in which their impact has eveloped in you a strong desire to be a Social Worker. Also include three significant experiences which have had a major impact upon your development as a perosn. What current personal characteristics do you attribute to having after being through those experiences?
2. Why have you chosen Social Work as a profession? What life expereinces, influences and barriers have influenced your decision? Explain (This is in adition to your life story)
5. Describe a personal or work experience in which your values and beliefs were strongly challenged. In terms of this experiences, what did you learn and in retrospect, would you do anything differently.
6. Why have you chosen William and Catherine Booth College as the place to obtain your Social Work Education. (This one at least is easy...all you have to say is that you wanted a small school with a Christian envirment.
I am still on question one. It is due monday...after all this I still have to pass a two hour admissions test and go for a personal interview with the social work faculty. If I didn't want to be a social worker so badly...I would NEVER be doing this.
I mean it's not like I don't have other classes I should be studying for at the same time.
