Have you ever sat in an empty room and listened to the rain fall down outside? I don’t mean while you’re reading a book or watching TV or listening to music. You. Room. Rain. Listen. The sound of rain is one of the most beautiful noises in the world. It’s like a symphony playing for you and only you. There’s a message in there, believe me, it might be hard to decipher at first, but that’s just because you’re not listening. Listen. The rain is descending from the sky, the dark clouds so full wanting to shed the extra weight. It’s magical really; let it fill you up to the very top. Don’t worry about the water sloshing over onto the sides, getting the carpet wet. It’s okay. You’re sitting in a puddle of water now, that wasn’t there before, and yet you are as dry as can be. The water swirls around inside your head. What is it telling you? You’re thoughts are befuddled. Just when you think you can take no more of it in, you let go. The water rushes back out, just like you’re pouring a glass. Down, down the drain it goes. You have a new sense of clarity, and you realize what the rain has been trying to convey to you all along. It is in you, and outside of you, it is everything that this world is made of and it is truly miraculous.
