Got back from Cali sometime last week. I am not too sure what to think/say/feel/do. I'm not too sure about what the future will hold, and my part in it. I've heard thoughts about how you aren't anybody special, etc etc etc. I'm not sure if that is what I can deal with. All I know at this point is that in less than a month I will be attending my basic combat training for the united states army. The wars aren't fought like they used to be that is for damn sure. I will be in the reserves, I know that much, as to whether or not I will be activated, I dunno, as to whether or not I may have a different view point on the world when I get back...I dunno. I'm not even sure if I particularly care. I'm here to do a job, and with my family, it almost seems like an inevitability as far as the military is concerned. People say it is all they know, no dude, it's all you chose. I know this was my choice, I've known the military since the day I was born, but made the choice to go in about four and a half years after I turned 18. I dunno what world I will be fighting for, with the administration and everything. But I know that at this point, I have a job to do and I will do it. Much the same as I have to be at work in about four hours. I'm trying to decide whether or not I joined for the right reasons. Maybe without my outside influence on people, they will learn their own life....no i'm not putting myself on a cross, it just....i dunno. For lack of better words some people need to get their head outta their ass and start training. I know I am of the type to be a product of my enivironment. This will be my training for the future. For it seems sure as shit that some people are in the apathetic mode. Or are too distracted. I dunno. Good luck kids.
