a brief documentation of the start of summer

Tonight made me remember what I love about home. It started out with driving over to Lindsay's where as per usual she isn't ready on time and an hour later we leave to meet Taylor for dinner. We took the vette out and blared some spice girls for a few laps of the mizner 500. I get the privilege of dining with two lovely ladies at Max's while listening to Duran Duran playing only a couple hundred feet away. After amazing tomato soup (my favorite thing ever) and some Max's flatbread, we share some key lime pie and pay. Lindsay and I get the vette from the valet and had a little photo shoot, and cruise around for a little while before heading to the funky buddha. We meet some guys who knew someone that Lindsay knew from work, and all make one table. Peach mango and grape double apple were soo good. We order some pomegranate green tea and listen to our new friends talk about everything from the bar exam to Argentina. Then, a random guy who owns some bar in pompano bought us all a round of drinks, so I had a raspberry beer. Despite the fact that I did not taste raspberry, it was good and we were happy. Then, I'm pretty sure our new friend Chad paid our tab, and we drove off into the night dodging sprinklers and singing along to some sweet tunes. There is nothing better than summer and old friends. Since I've been home I've reconnected with some old acquaintances, and even old flames. I kind of love it, even though I miss everyone from school. I think I don't ever want to grow up :)
