I am alive.
The last thing I can recall is looking out at that blasted WEAPON standing on the outskirts of Midgar. I survived the attack, obviously, though I'm not sure how. I awoke in the ruins to a destroyed world. Midgar, the ShinRa empire... all gone. A man could go mad at such a loss.
But I would not be so pathetic. I've already begun to formulate a plan. I will gather my followers, and then create a new company, a NeoShinRa, if you will. I have no reason to believe my Turks perished in the destruction of the city, and so I will set out in search of them first.
