What kind of people drive you crazy? Explain in detail. It can be anyone nice or mean, and it can be for the most smallest of reasons they drive you up the wall!

Is it the person who takes their screaming child to a nice restaurant?
That person standing in line at the register who won't get off their phone?
The drunk chick/guy that won't stop asking ( Read more... )

social issues, strangers, say what?, venting, dislikes

-Classmates who always argue with the professor or otherwise start arguments unrelated to the subject at hand. Seriously, shut up. No one cares. We're paying to learn a subject, not to hear you talk.

-Egoists, especially egoists with entitlement issues.

-Parents who bring children to places that are not suitable for children. A few examples: Movies of the PG-13 rating or higher, restaurants that do not involve play-places, museums, Shakespearean plays, or any environment that is meant to be quiet and involves a lot of sitting down. I'm not blaming the children--they can't help it if they're too young to sit still, or if they have short attention spans and get bored. I'm blaming the parents for putting their kids in those situations. I remember one time last year I got a rare chance to see a gallery exhibit of sculptures from the Roman empire, and one couple brought their two-year-old girl who was bored, fidgety, and screamed and whined the entire time.

-People who don't understand that you don't want to talk to them. Not trying to be bitchy here, but honestly, most of the time I don't feel like talking to the stranger sitting next to me on the plane. I'd rather read or listen to music. In this category, I'll also list the guys who don't understand that you don't want them to hit on them, and that you are simply not interested.

-People who are rude to service workers. I spent two years in food service and was shocked at the rudeness. It doesn't take much effort to say "please" and "thank you", nor does it take much effort to get off your cellphone for the whole thirty seconds it takes to order a sandwich. Whatever happened to manners and respect?

-Sorority girls. I try to keep an open mind, but they really are all the same (at least in my experience). The friends I had who joined sororities promised they would never change. They did. WHY?

-Drunks. I do not like to be around drunk people. I do not find it funny or entertaining to watch people who are drunk or high.

-Professors who hate to help. I had this one foreign language professor...I asked her what one work meant, and she refused to tell me until after I'd gone to the library and checked every dictionary they had. Seriously, just give me the damn word so I can get on with my homework.
