(no subject)
After a day at work like today, all I want to do is sit. My feet are throbbing and my knees feel like someone took a sledgehammer to the front of them. Mmm...
Mom stopped by work today at like 9. It made me happy, until JT started bitching about GOD KNOWS WHAT. He's so fucking ridiculous. You know why? I'LL TELL YOU WHY.
So when you're at the 2nd window, you're basically supposed to stand there and have your runners hand you the food to give out the window. So JT was supposed to be my runner, but he kept disappearing so I kept having to go get my own food. Whatever, not a big deal except it takes longer and JT's always complaining about how slow our drive-thru time is. But then he would come back and give me a lecture about how I need to stay in the window blah blah blah. But I can't argue my point because he's my boss and he's always right. I felt like saying, "Okay JT, how about you do your goddamn job so I can do my goddamn job KTHX." But no.
Eventually someone switched jobs with me, so I was working the register on the front counter. When you work the front counter, once again, people are supposed to get the food ready for you and put it on the trays/in the bags. But if there is nobody running for me, then I'm forced to either:
A) Stand there stupidly with the customer and wait for someone to eventually get around to placing the food on the tray or
B) Take 4 seconds to grab the food myself and place it on the tray.
So, needless to say, I went with B. OH HELLLL NOOOO. JT gave me yet again another lecture on how I need to stay at my position blah blah blah. So I did for the rest of the day. And most of the day I didn't have a runner at all... so people were waiting around 10 minutes sometimes for their food. I apologized and said some smart ass remark about how I couldn't go get them their food.
It is so goddamn frustrating. I worked 30 hours last week and I'm working 29 hours next week. most of my hours are between 8-3, so I have to wake up damn early.
Just keep looking forward to the paycheck, I guess.
Anyway... hope everyone else had a good day. I'm gonna go sit somewhere else.
