I was gonna head to the other side of town today to visit my mama and grandma for mother's day to have lunch. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to considering they were having lunch at noon and that is when I got out of work. I miss a lot of things because of work blehh. So due to the course of these events, today turned into a lazy, laundry day type of dealio.

This week has been an utter fail in terms of what has happened. So...John and I got 3 tickets to see Bassnectar/STS9 at Northerly Island, which is like one of the best venues because it's an outdoor stage and it's really lovely to view amidst all the lit up skyscrapers and the feel of the cool breeze coming off of the lake on a hot summer night; Then it happened, the thing I fear the most. The show was moved to another venue (the Aragon) because the Bears have a game that day on the night of the show (in AUGUST?! wtf). It's a stupid effing preseason game. Who cares? Gosh, I have never hated football so much.

You see, we have this love/hate relationship with the Aragon. It's super close to our apartment, so it's easy to pregame and head to the venue without having to spend 7 bucks on a shitty beer. The sound quality, on the other hand, is terrible. It's awful. It should be illegal. You have to stand on the left side of the stage to be able to hear the performance clearly, and that place is always extremely packed, so getting around is difficult. But we were fine with it since there is really nothing we can do. But then it gets worse! Bassnectar dropped out of the Aragon show, so we'd basically only see STS9 and some opening act. Does ticketmaster gives refunds when things like this happen? I'd rather just switch my tickets to see them at the House of Blues instead. At least I can hear the music in that place.

Goddamn Chicago, get some better venues like the Metro. This shit is bananas.

Oh well, but can I just say? I can't wait til these arrive in the mail. I'm gonna look fab-u-lous.

hang me out to dryyyy!!, 365 day project, shows, hanger
