I’m looking forward to entering the Upperville Colt and Horse Show with Peanut next year. It’s the oldest sporting event in the US and runs the whole second week in June every year, Under The Oaks in Upperville, Virginia. Sunday even has the $100,000.00 Budweiser Grand Prix that was aired on OLN this past year. ANNNNNDD…free stalls for draft horses :)

The Kerner’s have one more moving trip to make before Virginia is home sweet home. Then, I get to go visit Valerie. I’m excited about liking her but also a little nervous, because another horse is a big investment. Depending on where she’s at in training what I would love to do is work out a half lease with someone so they can pay board somewhere…okay so half board… :-\ Although, if she’s comfortable hacking out in the neighborhood I can ride her multiple times a week anyway. I guess it’s something I’ll just have to make a judgement call on. I doubt I’ll be able to ride her before I buy her, but you never know. She has a half sister that was bred by the same people, living in Arkansas. Even though she’s very green she’s totally safe. If that’s the same way she is, we’re all good. I don’t mind her not knowing things yet. Peanut was jumping cross rails in a week according to Dani; learned flying lead changes in a day; and I saw him learn a walk pirouette in a few minutes. These drafts are just super intelligent. So, I’ll keep y’all posted.

Right now I’m typing so I don’t fall asleep at work, I’ve TOTALLY had the eyes rolling into the back of my head thing going on. Maybe Brian at Mama Stella’s poisoned my blackened chicken Alfredo?? I’m getting sleeeeeee-eeeeeepy….v.v..vvverrry slee….eee..eee..py. Whew.

Oh, so I also found out that I can enter Peanut is a USDF Horse of the Year competition. It’s an all breed end of the year competition. How cool would that be, to have the USDF Horse of the Year! We’d have to bust our butts, by apparently it’s not out of the realm of possibility because of the limited number of Percherons actively competing.

I think it may have finally stopped raining!! Can you believe it!?! I was getting ready to go husband hunting for a man named Noah! The weather is supposed to clear up for the weekend which will be great because we’re going to The Plains for the Gold Cup International. Sunday it’s helping out at Mary’s. Monday is work and an evening jumping lesson at Red Rebel Stables. And who knows what for the rest of the week! Saturday 22nd we’ll be going to Harrisburg, Pa for the Penn National Show Grand Prix.

Saturday the 29th is the Oakridge show…Sunday November 6th is the Chapter Challenge. Busy Busy Busy.

I’m also waiting to hear something about a reschedule for the show that was cancelled last Sunday due to rain. If we don’t reschedule Peanut and I have a Grand Champion and two fourth places in the year end awards.

Dani has a reg. holsteiner filly for sale, by Rascal and out of N’Vouge. Anyone looking for a cute baby with airy movements she’s the girl!

Anyway…6 mins before I can leave…gotta e-mail this myself so I can post it when I get home.
