Lifted from
Duncan The idea is you cite the first sentence from the first post of each month of the last year and make it into one.
Inspired by this (
http://www.tomatonation.com/gbc.shtml) I have decided to share a similarly themed conversation I have just had with a good friend. The dogs are sleeping sweetly together, and Melissa is coming down from New York for the weekend -- she gets in at 6. In part due to poverty and in part due to actually not having any work to do this weekend for the first weekend in recent memory, I have been doing fucking nothing but lying around with my dogs. Looking for something in my saved email folder, I came across this, written by a friend of mine to another friend. I seem to be responding really well lately to works of fiction, of various media, dealing with the first throes of a relationship. He's gone to work, so now I am left to wonder what, exactly, Charlie's costume was.I've abandoned Charlie, watching Tremors, because he claims that his impending graduation means he's insanely busy and thus cannot hook up my DSL (I can do that myself; the problem is the wireless aspect) for another week. I'm very pro-2005 so far.
(Also, I see from the Dec. 1 enty, the foreboding words "fighting off a cold." Oh, if only I'd known then that I would never be well again, maybe I would have whined a little less throughout the year.)
