bureaucracy
i'd like to know what genius came up with this financial aid system. i've had $1.34 in my bank account for the past two weeks, and have had to resort to scrounging for change in the sofa (ok. futon. but, literally.) and breaking my piggy bank open for quarters (which was practically empty anyway). i had to borrow money from justin to buy a notebook and pen so i could take notes in class. i have no money to buy the books i need for my assignments that are due at the beginning of the week. i also have no money to buy sketchbooks, markers, etc. for my drawings that are due at the end of next week. and let's not even talk about the $60 in utilities, $650 rent, and $289 ccc payment that are due on wednesday. i don't have money for food, so i've been eating some old (and slightly moldy) cheese grilled with bread when i get home at night, a cup of chamomile tea and a few crackers with guava paste for breakfast, and a kiddie cup of applesauce for lunch since it's the only thing i have that i can take with me to school/work.
i mean, obviously there's people who have it worse off than me. my problem is that this money is just sitting somewhere (my tuition was paid over two weeks ago, but i hafta wait for this stupid reimbursement check to come now)... and it kills me because not only am i starving/annoyed/bookless/etc... but after all of this, i'm going to have $40,000 in student loans i have to repay, plus interest. you'd think the least they could do is get it to me before i die of starvation.
