My left earlobe is currently three times it's normal size because it's got some cyst-like, amorphous blob inside it (or more accurately, sort of protruding out the back of it). It's all squishy and malleable, so I assume it's filled with liquid of some sort. People have been telling me I should go to the doctor.

So, I decided I'm going to jab it with a safety pin (which I will of course run under some water or something for a few seconds, because cleanliness is of utmost concern); if pus comes out, I'll squeeze it all out and hope whatever it was never comes back. If blood comes out, I'll go to the doctor. And I'll flip a coin if it's some combination of the two, or some other substance entirely (Wayne and I drunkenly joked last night about a baby coming out of it, which seems less funny and more retarded now that I'm sober, although I can't help giggling while thinking about a tiny baby emerging from a ballooning pustule in my earlobe). My doctor makes me nervous, though, so I hope it's pus.

Since you're all doubtlessly on the edge of your seats right now, I'll be sure to update you on the outcome.
