Based on a true story:
I dropped by a friends house that is in a subdivision in North Scottsdale to drop off a birthday mix CD. My friend said that I would need me to move my truck and she received a fine of $150.00 previously for someone's pick-up truck in the driveway. I wasn't going to stay long anyway since I had a paper to finish that evening, but it struck me as odd.
I've been trying to think why a home owner's association would find pick up trucks in the driveway to be undesirable. Are they the vehicles of the proletariat? Does the utilitarian image of a pickup truck as a work vehicle upset the bourgeoisie of North Scottsdale? I did not know that trucks drive down property values.
Ah well, back to studying.
