I have been riding my bike to work since May. This cold snap has me scrambling to find a suitable way of dressing for my commute to work. The ride starts out pretty cold, but as my blood gets pumping, I get pretty hot and sweaty. I picked up some runner tops that are supposed to be breathable and dry. I tried it out yesterday and discovered that breathable means that cold winds cut right through you like a knife. I added a windbreaker to the mix this morning and while the wind was stopped, I got a little bit sweaty, but it seems to be acceptable. Now I just need to pick up some full fingered bike gloves since my fingerless ones make me feel like my fingertips might freeze and break off. Also if you see me riding, please don't make fun of the headband, it keeps my ears warm.
